ABOUT SUN SIGN AND LOVE PREDICTION ASTROLOGY
Sun sign astrology became popular after August 24th 1930 when the Sunday
Express published an astrological article by R. H.
Naylor about the birth of Princess Margaret. As a
result newspaper sales soared leading to a commission
for astrologer Naylor to write a series. Soon after
this regular astrology columns started to appear in
the press leading to the newspaper astro-columns we
know today. (There were popular almanacs dating back
as far as 1468 but these were not using the sun alone
to determine fortunes.)
Astrologers
know that sun sign astrology is only a very small
part of the whole astrological picture. For example,
your individuality is designated by the sun sign while
personality is designated by the ascending sign in
your chart at the time of birth. Astrologers also
hold that the positions of the stars and planets in
your chart at the moment of birth reveal the general

The psychologist Carl Jung made use of Astrology in his practice of psychotherapy. If he had come to an impasse with a difficult patient he would have the birth chart of the person drawn up and would interpret it from a psychological standpoint. Jung was particularly interested in the light the horoscope can cast on complications in the character. He believed that the horoscope could help to overcome difficulties by giving a different viewpoint to the problems being addressed and may lead to a diagnosis.
Jung was most interested in the seasonal and planetary influences than the Sun sign. He once said: "We are born at a given moment in a given place, and like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season in which we are born. Astrology does not lay claim to anything else."
Jung’s interest in astrology continues to be an embarrassment to many psychotherapists and may have caused his break with Sigmund Freud. Nonetheless Jung did a great deal of research into astrology and devised a number of statistical tests for a possible acausal link between psychic states and real events. His investigations eventually led to the development of his important theory of synchronicity.
Signs, Stories, Experiments and Symbols:
In order for to accurately plot a horoscope, you need an Ephemeris and a Table of Houses. In the early 1950’s mathematicians at NASA and the Astrological Association of Great Britain were all working on a simple way to work out a table that would give the position of the moon from the year 1800 to the year 2000 in three simple steps. One of the astrologers involved was Hugh MacCraig. One evening as he lay down to sleep MacCraig ‘prayed on it’ and at 3.00 A.M. he awoke to discover that he had dreamed of the solution. The resulting mathematical table was published in 1952 in his book the Ephemeris of the Moon and has become the model for the Ephemeris used by modern astrologers today.
